Our approach

PortWave Solutions was built around a simple observation: the container industry's largest players have inherent conflicts of interest. Leasing companies optimize their fleets. Carriers optimize their routes. Marketplaces optimize their volume.

Nobody, structurally, optimized for the trader.

We don't own a leasing fleet. We don't run carrier services. We don't operate as a marketplace skimming volume. We operate a boutique trade desk — multilingual, digital-native, neutral by design — that serves the people doing the actual trade: NVOCCs, freight forwarders, traders, and shippers.

Our team has 18+ years of operational experience inside the largest container leasing platforms in the world. We know what scale looks like, and we know what scale optimizes for. PortWave was built for what scale doesn't optimize for.

The thesis

Why neutrality matters.

When your supplier is also your competitor, every conversation has a tax. Every quote has a hidden margin. Every relationship is conditional on you not asking questions about the structure.

Neutrality removes that tax. We make money when you make money. We don't make money on the trades we don't tell you about.

Built multilingual

Trade is multilingual. Most trade desks aren't.

Our trade desk operates natively in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Not translated. Not outsourced. The person quoting your repositioning between Buenos Aires and Veracruz speaks Spanish as a working language, knows Latin American trade lanes, and understands the regional carrier dynamics.

This isn't a marketing claim. It's an operational fact. And it's why PortWave was structured to operate from Delaware with regional desks.

Built digital

Stack transparency, not stack mystery.

We use the same trade desk software the largest competitors use. We integrate with the same depot APIs the leasing giants integrate with. We've published our compliance roadmap and our data architecture publicly.

There's no proprietary "black box" in the way we operate. The advantage is in coordination and language, not in hidden technology.
